How to Install a Remote Desktop for Windows XP

1. Step 1
   Log onto your computer and right-click the "My Computer" icon. Click on the "Remote" tab.
   
2. Step 2
   Check both of the check boxes on the "Remote" tab. This will allow you to connect to your computer remotely whenever you need to.
   
3. Step 3
   Click on the "Computer Name" tab and write down the name of your computer. Be sure to write down the full name of the computer. You will need this name to access your computer remotely.
   
4. Step 4
   Log on to another computer and click on the "Start" button. Choose "Run" from the menu and type "mstsc" in the box.
   
5. Step 5
   Click "OK" to open the remote connection dialog box. Type the name of your computer in the box and click "OK" to make the connection.
