Using the computer for speech recognition can be fairly easy and fun. Without properly training your computer, it can also be an extreme pain.
Step 1
With Window's 7 or Vista, there is a program called speech recognition. Using this program can help reduce typing. To begin, click the start button.
Step 2
Seeing the search bar in the bottom, type in speech recognition. This would look almost like your address bar on the top of a internet page.
Step 3
Once it pulls it up in the start window, double click it or the speech recognition options. If it won't allow you to click on the program itself, clicking on the speech recognition options that are listed as well, will let you open it.
Step 4
Using the wizard, turn on the speech recognition program. It will ask you to use the tutorial. Do this.
Step 5
Once you use the tutorial, practice using the speech recognition program to help it recognize your voice.
